Description

I'm a big fan of Erik Larsen's Savage Dragon series, and I thought it would be cool to get a Star Wars sketch from him. Since he was sketching for free, I said he should just pick whatever character he wanted, and handed him a couple of magazines for reference. After flipping through them for a bit, he came across a photo of the alien band that played in the Mos Eisley Cantina. Larsen sketched out the head... and then this odd expression came over his face that I quickly took to mean "How the @#$% am I supposed to draw this weird alien musical instrument?!?" I quickly said that what he did already was just fine. Hey, it was free, so I certainly can't complain! And I appreciate that Larsen contributed a rather unique sketch to the book.
