Description
The Sandman and Diane race into action to save the iconic 1939 Worlds Fair from the twisted threat of the Phantom with only searchlights and doves to pierce the night and give them hope of victory!

Another addition to my Phantom of the Fair promo art run and one of the jewels in my whole Sandman Mystery Theatre collection, this stunning movie style promo poster was done by the master Guy Davis for the story’s 1996 publication. Clearly building on his unfinished 1993 promo for the series before the Phantom storyline was pushed back, this features a wealth of typical Davis details and lovely art finishes, check out the glow effects on the search lights, the details of Diane’s dress and the perfect architectural renderings of the Trylon and Perisphere not to mention a centre stage Sandman brandishing his gas gun. A pitch perfect GEM!

Congratulations, Frank. Your SMT collection gets better and better every passing day. The Davis promo pieces for most of the storylines were astonishingly good, I own the one to the Butcher piece - I consider it my SMT representative. This one knocks it out of the park though!
