(August 1981) (AMAZING HEROES / Zam, Inc.) In AMAZNG HEROES #3 which was originally published in August 1981, readers of this issue would get their first glimpse of DC's new series: THE ALL-STAR SQUADRON. On the preceeding page to "The Justice Society of America" article by the late, Richard Morrissey, JSA fans alike would see Rich Buckler's concept illustration for the ALL-STAR SQUADRON rendered not only in pen & ink, but he also added some zipatone to Hawkman's wings for further dimension & detail as well as to the background to give the impression of speed by the oncoming ALL-STAR SQUADRON.
