Description

Richard Thompson's work, whether on his comic strip Cul de Sac, or his equally brilliant Richard's Poor Almanac, is simply terrific. I love expressive ink line work, which is one of the reasons I'm drawn to Richard's work. Of course, his sharp humor and keen observations are the icing on the cake, cream for the eclair, or any other dessert metaphors you can think of.

I've gently bugged Richard (okay, I'm a royal pain in the tuchis!) about this daily ever since I originally saw it. It sums up the humor of the strip perfectly, and is filled with a great cast of characters. And that punchline is just spot-on perfect. From October 22, 2007. Thanks Richard!

Yep, that's a nice one! Thompson surely is one of the great strip artists nowadays.
