DescriptionProbably my single favorite page in all of comics. The sick and poor are lifted up, everyone is taken care of - a wonderful world. This page was produced by John Totlebe drawing approx. 8x10 drawings in pencil (six on this page - I've got these as well and the scans are included in the additional images portion), with the pencil art being resized and degraded by making a "copy of a copy" to give the page a documentary feel. The bottom panel being all original art on the board.Social/Sharing |

Some of Moore's best dialogue. A stunning page.

I will never get tired of reading this page. One of Moore's very best. Great to see it in its original form so thanks for sharing it!

Considering the current status of world events, it does not stretch the imagination that Utopia only could exist in the four color fantasy world of the comic. The copying and degrading of the image to give it a "documentary" feel gives further support to the argument that references to Mr. Totleben should omit the qualifier "comic" before "artist." Congrats on a great page!

This page always comes close to bringing a tear to my eye...beautiful ideas, expression and dialogue as only Moore can bring to the page...sigh...we could do with such a benign tyrant!

Honestly, this is one of the greatest pieces of comic book art I've ever seen. The dialogue is so rich and Totleben's art complements it perfectly.

Could have sworn I had already commented on this - what an oversight! It's a terrific piece of graphic storytelling, Keith!

Yeah, I'd go with this being possibly the greatest page in comics ever - it's most definitely up there. I remember reading this as a kid and just feeling such a sense of wonder at what a fair and just world could have come from this. Still has the same effect, decades later. A beautiful world, indeed. Thanks for sharing!

Miracleman by Totleben is the real deal. I'm glads they tried to rebvoot it, but this is a page of OA history; Smithsonian- bound?
