Una delle tavole di prova a matita tratta dalla storia " Paperino agente investigativo " ideata e disegnata da Romano Scarpa. Con queste tavole Scarpa si presentò nel 1953 alla redazione di Topolino per essere assunto come disegnatore. Successivamente Scarpa, modificò il titolo e in parte la trama realizzando così "Paperino e i gamberi in salmì", la sua prima storia a fumetti disneyana, di cui realizzò sia i testi che i disegni.
