Description
From the first Comico issue in 1984, renamed Robotech: The Macross Saga from #2 on. The art is made of a background painting, a painted cell layer for characters/ships, and another cell layer over that for the line art / lettering. They only made the first issue that way as it was too time consuming of a process. I loved coming home from school and watching this cartoon series.

Robotech was awesome! Sweet nostalgic spot for me too.  I remeber this was on at 3:00pm and I would run home from elementary school so I would not miss an episode. No VCR for us so if you missed an episode, YOU MISSED AN EPISODE!!!

The art is so unique. That first issue really was special. It looked like nothing else on the American stands at that time.

Ahhhhhhh...Macross...such a fond childhood memory. Puts some happiness in this cold heart of mine.
