Description
concept drawing/color guide for the first Spawn Trading card published 1992 in Wizard#11.
it is give away from a TMP employee.
...colored pencils,some ink,marker...handwriten..
it is hand drawn and colored,prelim artwork from the early Spawn period.
Spawn#1 appeared 1992 and McFarlane has work on Spawn to 100 % itself...pen,ink...concepts and writing.(good old times)
nice Bonus: little Spawn sketch ,similar McFarlane's first Spawn prototype drawing!
prototype was published 1991,one year before Spawn#1,on the cover of the VHS tape :Stan Lee presents-COMIC BOOK GREATEST-McFarlane...1992 re-uses for the back side Spawn pic. of the Wizard Trading Card!......last but not least:...published / imaged in the artbook -the Art of Todd McFarlane ,page 212.

Great one! I just love it, seeing the work and ideas involved, all done by hand. A historical piece.
