Description

Mort Künstler: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, Classics Illustrated #13 (Gilberton, Oct 1953). The Künstler cover and complete interior artwork by the legendary Lou Cameron unearthed after almost 60 years.

Very striking cover! Mr. Hyde is not the usual grotesque monster, which makes this quite interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing the story as well. Congrats, Lars!

According to a recent interview with Mort Künstler by renowned Classics Illustrated authority Bill Jones, Dr. Jekyll was a self-portrait and Mr. Hyde an art-school mentor!
