Description
For the longest time, I've wanted to have a piece commemorating those heroes who have fallen in battle. Now, thanks to the tremendous talents of penciler Cedric Nocon and inker Bob Almond, that wish has become a reality

The heroes depicted are (left to right):

Dr. Midnight -- aka Beth Chapel, who served as a protege to the original Dr. Mid-nite. She debuted in Infinity Inc., and was eventually killed by Eclipso. Still dead

Nightwatch -- aka Kevin Trench, he originally debuted in one of the Spider-Man titles and had his own short-lived series. Shot dead and still dead.

Night Thrasher -- aka Dwayne Taylor, former leader of the New Warriors. Killed in an explosion by the villain Nitro in Marvel's Civil War limited series. Still dead

ShadowHawk -- aka Paul Johnston. Star of his own Image Comics series, he was killed by being injected with the AIDS virus. After this piece was commissioned last year, ShadowHawk returned from the dead and is now headlining his own series again.

Orpheus -- aka Gavin King. Gotham City's first African-American superhero, he ended getting his throat slit by the Black Mask in one of the Batman titles. Still dead

Thunderbolt -- William Carver, died when his powers of super-speed also caused him to age rapidly. Died in the pages of Power Man and Iron Fist. Still dead

Goliath -- Dr. William "Bill" Foster. Protege to Hank Pym and briefly the star of his own series, he was killed during Marvel's Civil War series when a clone of Thor created by Tony Stark and Reed Richards went amok. Still dead

You can reach Cedric Nocon through his website cedricnocon.com. Bob Almond can be commissioned at comicarthouse.com or you can visit his website at almondink.com. Thanks to both a superb commission.

Now that's one mind-blowing Brotherhood commission right there. Congratulations once again to the Big O!

As I said when you first showed me the scan, this is a wonderful piece and the inking really bring's out Nocon's talents. Great piece.
