Man of Steel #17 page 22

...and speaking of ending, this is page 10 in my "Comic Art on the Cheap" list. This is one of my true grail pages, and features the FIRST appearance of Doomsday, the villain that killed Superman waaay back in 1992. Doomsday was introduced in four splash page panels at the end of the various Superman title of the day, each featuring Doomsday getting closer and closer to breaking out of his underground prison. At one time I actually own the second splash page by Dan Jurgens. I sold that one for $900.00 after I bought this one on Ebay...for $90.00 bucks...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! The person who sold it it only had it list as Man of Steel #17 page 22, so apparently, no one else knew what it was. AHHHHH, sometimes, life is good! So, the total for my 10 page cheap comic art gallery was $90.00 + $130.00 = $220.00. None to shabby. This brings me to what will probably be my final topics in this year's comic art rants, "GrailPages" and "What price art". For now, I'm getting ready for what has been (in the past) the end of my convention season...DRAGONCON!!!
