Description

Painted cover by Glenn Ford. Large 26" x 19.75". Original cover art for Frew publictions Sydney Australia. Frew started printing the Phantom back in 1948 and still publishes the Phantom comic fortnightly, making Frews the longest unbroken run of the title. Frew original cover art is rarely offered for sale. This fine piece by Glenn Ford features the front cover artwork. Ford produced many covers and complete stories for Frew in the early ninties, commuting between Los Angles and Australia where he ran a successful chain of comic book stores and worked on many Phantom art projects. Sold: $410
