Description

When you have a hitman that carries a six-barrell shotgun named "Josh," and looks like he took dressing tips from Huggy Bear from Starsky and Hutch, you know you're in for a wild ride. That's Cockroach Hamilton, who gave Luke a few headaches in a four-part story arc starting in LUKE CAGE, POWER MAN #28. Cock -- well, uh, let's just call him Roach -- worked in the employ of mob boss Piranha Jones, who had sharp, pointy steel teeth that looked those of well, a piranha.

Not content with a mere two barrell shotgun, the Roach had Elmer Fudd's wet dream: A six, count'em, six barrell hunk of iron that could fire everything from regular ammo to gas pellets. But even though Roach fired at Luke like Dick Cheney blasting an old guy in the face, Luke still ended up turning his gun into so much scrap metal and kicking Roach's hind quarters as well. And let's face it, anyone dressing like that even in the 70s deserves a butt-kicking.

This piece was penciled by none other than the great Arvell Jones. You may remember his name from his great work on such titles as IRON MAN, ALL-STAR SQUADRON, IRON FIST, and others. Very Nice! I got an Iron Fist sketch from Arvell through Jeff Jaworski and it was a painless transaction. Arvell is attending NYCC this year and I am looking forward to meeting him.
