Love Mignola from this period. This story and the art is just perfect.

Anyway, this is Hellboy's first fight with Gruagach. Until recently, I thought it was just some man-pig creature. lol

Crunch! Wak! This is some of Mignola's best work. The action is superb, the dialogue is crisp, clean, absurd and funny and the art is both perfectly Mignola and perfectly Hellboy.

Mignola himself has acknowledged that this is one of his favorite Hellboy stories. The first movie has a sequence inspired by this, and most people I know, even though they do not remember the movie as such, recall this particular scene quite a lot. Great pickup!

Compliments to your Mignola collection ; several well-chosen pieces of highest quality. I prefer his storytelling and that´s why this 2 page sequence is a true gem in my opinion.
