I just had to share this work in progress by the amazing Budd Root. I'm absolutely blown away! I asked Budd for a piece of Ivy seducing Batman with her toxins. Budd loved the idea and is also going to color the piece. A side note he offered to put some more leaves on her backside to make it more pg-13..but as I told him there was no way I could have him cover that ass up! A BIG THANK YOU to my friend Royce for the assist.

I paid Budd for a commission in April, 2008. I'm still waiting for it, but I hope it comes out as good as yours appears so far.

What can I saw that hasn't already been said, NOTHING. The quality, Batman's facial expression, everything, just pitch PERFECT!! Looking forward to the finished product.

I agree with everyone else Brian. I think Alfred has an errand to the pharmacy for Calamine Lotion in his near future! I really really love this piece and just think, in about a week....it will be in your HOT LITTLE HANDS! Knock on wood. (No pun intended Batman!)

I have to agree with you Brian...screw adding more leaves! I remember waiting for Budd to color a Cavewoman / Green Witches Splashpage I sent him. My eagerness was sheer torture! But seeing the end result made the anxiety disappear. I felt the same eagerness looking at this WIP! Sometimes when art gets colored in, it loses some detail & definition. But with Budd Root's work this does not happen. Your amazing Pretty Poison piece shows this point so well. Excellent score!
