Description
SQP, Inc. has introduced me to several excellent Spanish artists over the years. Sebastià Boada is one of the best.

Sebastià's fantasy art was a highlight in many early Gallery Girls books from SQP. His 2000 sketchbook, Fatal Beauty: The Art Of Boada, is also worth tracking down. Boada's graphite rendering is simultaneously characterized by sketchiness but solidity, fluidity but power, and kinetic articulation of mass and form.

This startling drawing saw print in the jungle girl title, Jungle Tails.

Et tu, Jane? Does Tarzan know?

Wow! Despite the twisted subject matter, this is beautifully done, Mark! Never seen this guy's work before. If it weren't so meticulously realistic (and therefore creepy) it would be hilarious!

Wow... a really exquisitely rendered shocking violation of all that is holy in the eyes of god and man! The attention to detail with the delicate play of light and subtle modeling on this moral abomination is really extraordinary! You have to admire the sheer confidence of Boada's draftsmanship... his effortless dexterity with graphite really puts the viewer... inside... the... scene... GOOD LORD! *choke*

I agree with your views on this talented artist Mark. His work reminds me of a South American artist Claudio Aboy. They both work well with graphite! Congrats.
