Description

My girlfriend Michele shared a table with Matthew Southworth in Artists Alley at the 2010 New York Comic Con. I had the chance to chat with Matthew throughout the weekend. I picked up a copy of Stumptown #4, published by Oni Press, a series he illustrated. It's a noir crime book, and Matthew's artwork is fantastic. I'm really looking forward to the TPB coming out, so I can read the whole thing.

In any case, Matthew also recently worked on an issue of Amazing Spider-Man, so I asked him if he could do a quick sketch of Spidey for me. Instead, Matthew went all out, drawing a nice color piece for me. He's a really nice guy as well as a great artist, and I look forward to seeing more from him.
