I was excited to meet Giancarlo at NYCC where he was promoting the new Green Lantern cartoon. It's a rare opportunity for an east coaster like me to meet someone who worked on Avatar: The Last Airbender so I was very happy he agreed to do me a quick sketch during his signing at the DC booth. Some of the other people in line thought it was odd I was more excited to meet Giancarlo than Bruce Timm.
