Description
I really wanted a commission that's a lot different than most of the stuff you see, pin-ups and fight scenes.

I came up with the idea of Peter Parker holding Gwen Stacy after she just died, based on the classic A Death In The Family cover by Jim Aparo with Batman holding Robin. This is probably my all-time favorite Spider-Man moment because of the huge impact. I was thinking of a certain pose that directly came to mind and later I realized it was the pose from that Batman cover. I also realized how similar the impact was to the death of Robin in the 80's and I thought it would be really cool to combine these two classic moments this way.

I gave Ron a very detailed description how I saw this scene and he managed to set it up in just that way AND to add some cool twists to the scene that really surprised me (especially the way how he included the smoky face of the Green Goblin in his trademark black banner.

Ron, thanks a lot! I really love this commission, I really think it's one of the highlights of my collection.
