Description
Tim Sale was at the CTN Animation Expo. My friend John came up with the idea of this rainy scene from My Neighbor Totoro where the two sisters go to meet their dad at the bus stop with his forgotten umbrella. Totoro appears and the girls loan him the umbrella to use. He enjoys the sound of rain dripping on the umbrella so he jumps and lands hard to create a rapid stream of rain drops off the leaves.

I just love that you chose Tim to do this piece for you. This is one of those memorable scenes from the movie and this piece is very well done!

It was a good move giving Tim the storyboard book as reference otherwise he would never have known about the jumping scene. Great piece, Steven!
