Description

Another piece in my collection, wherein I instruct the artist to have the subjects of the piece doing non-costume, non-superheroic things--this time done by one of my favorite artists, Chris Sprouse. Mr. Sprouse envisioned the two of them (and Lockheed, atop the sofa), having "movie night at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters". He explained to me that the piece was meant to reflect the time at which they were teens in the school, hence the VHS copies of the movie on the living room floor. That's just an example of the kind of thought that Mr. Sprouse puts into his work...and one of the reasons why this piece blows me away so much.

I need to give thanks to my good friend and fellow CAF member Matthew M. who hooked me up with Mr. Sprouse and allowed me to commission him in the first place. And, of course, to the artist himself, who delivered a commission that transcended my expectations in every possible way! Thanks Matthew, and thanks Mr. Sprouse!!! :D

I was standing in line for Sprouse at MidOhioCon when you picked this up so I got to see it in person! Very cool. I really liked the VHS tapes on the table. Nice touch!
