Description
Finally decided to go directly to the horse(s) mouth. I first contacted Steve Bissette, who told me "as far as I know, the original art belongs to Kevin Eastman". Next spoke (emailed) Mr. Rick Veitch himself. This was one of a few pages I purchased directly from him. I just really liked the drawing of Abby in the center of this page, and remembered it was one of the pages I really wished to own. When paying for the art, I also emailed the query “P.S. Do you know the present location of the infamous "Swamp Thing #88" art? I had a list of things I wanted to do after I turned 40. Amongst them was seeing a T-Rex skeleton and see the art for this issue. I found a T-Rex skeleton, but the last I heard, this art had been displayed at the Words and Pictures museum years ago, and was told by one of your other Swamp Thing cohorts was now in the possession of Kevin "Turtles" Eastman. DC has a Lucifer series now, so you would think they would print it and give the other side its due."

His response "About ST #88. Kevin indeed had the art but sold it at auction three or four years ago. I forgot the guys name, but a prominent collector bought the whole issue I'm told. The cool news is that DC is going to collect my ST run in trade paperback. They are right now trying to decide if they can possibly run #88 (maybe with a few fixes) and then let me complete the time travel story. Nothing definite yet, but there's hope!"

This was back in January 2004. Sigh...
