Description
Maybe it's just me, but every Kelly cat (or tiger...) casts the shadow of the future Bill Watterson' Hobbes...

Anyway, this is a good example of the political content of the Pogo strips. 1968, with the assassinations of Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy, was a terrible year - and this strip conveys, in a way that stills somehow funny, a menacing sense of incumbent violence.

This appears to be a 1968 Presidential campaign strip. Interesting period as far as political Pogo is concerned.

Beautiful example Lorenzo! I thought a lot about buying it when i've seen it printed in Laqua's catalog. Glad to know it found a good home

Wonderful daily featuring Wiley Cat...I really like the later larger format...
