I'm very excited to show off this cover.

I'm obviously very fortunate to have some amazing Charest originals in my collection. I've wanted a Travis Captain America cover since he did 6 of them back in 2007. Didn't get any of those, so just thrilled to get one now. What I love about this cover are the details in the folds in the Cap's pants. I also love the flag background as it's very appropriate for this character. The various renditions of Captain America over the years (from the iris print to the heroes reborn splash of Cap and now this) are some of my favorite things he has ever done.

I just love this and the guy who drew it!!!!

Glad you showed me this one too when you were here last weeked. I assume I was the first one to see it in person, since you drive right over after picking it up from Travis. It was so nice being able to hold it in my hands to see all the detail, instead of squinting at my computer screen like I normally do. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Travis is truly in a league of his own!

Travis may not be as prolific as some other artists working in comics today, but the meticulous attention to detail and the insightful ability to present eye-catching layout designs that led him to be Jim Lee's "hand-picked" successor on Wildcats all those years ago still permeate his art. A stunning stunning piece. Congratulations!

This piece is amazing. I can't think of a more iconic image of Captain, save one. But this is a cover, so advantage you. Congrats Joe! Your collection is my favorite in all of CAF

you might try to get another scan of this though. it looks like it was put through some kind of posterize filter if you look at all the transitions from the different shades of gray.
