Good heavens! How this incredible piece can go eleven years without a comment is sheer insanity...! I can't imagine the sheer brain-melting effect that seeing this wonder in person would produce. John's work is always amazing, but when he is as invested in the project as he obviously was on this one, the sky is the limit. He (literally) tore the roof off this one, with an insane amount of detail invested into the rubble... which allows that cleanly-rendered and monstrous hand to pop out at the viewer even more directly. An incredible opening spread from one of the greatest runs in X-Men history - mega-congrats, Oscar!
