Description

This is a 16x20 acrylic painting by Crystal Marvig from 1992. I have tried finding information on her but not a whole lot out there except that she did attend several shows and I also found that she is the author of L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future, Volume XI. I've been told that she passed away in a car accident several years ago. If anybody knows anything else about her or this painting, Please let me know. This really looks to me like it's a cover painting to some book with the amount of work that was done to it. Big thanks to Tim F for letting this one go.

How in the world do you do it, Ken? Another glorious painting- from the colours to every detail. I, of course, love the Dragon. His regal stance and wizened expression adds depth to the relationship he has with the Rider. Definite cover quality, IMO and a perfect addition to your collection.

I knew Crystal when I lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area. She was a marvelous artist who did a number of book covers. I remember this painting but I don't know if it was for a book. She was lost when her car went off the road and into flood waters in 1998. Her brother Kip I think still owns a comic store in Fargo named Comic Junction.
