In 1994 Juan Giménez made this unusual dedication in the Salón del Comic de Barcelona (International Comic Convention). It was the time when he drew "La Casta de los Metabarones(The Caste of Metabarons)" and everyone in the long tail of the dedications had the first issue of the series. I was very young, had never been to a Comic Convention and I showed up with an older comics, “Juego Eterno (Eternal Game)”, that it was recommended by a friend.

Upon seeing it, Juan Giménez raised eyebrow and smiling he made a totally different dedication from that evening he was drawing. It's one of those magical and unforgettable moments that warrant attend a convention. Although I love everything that Giménez has drawn later, 20 years later I still think that Juego Eterno is one of his best works and a obligatory presence in the library of any good comic fan.

En 1994 Juan Giménez realizó esta inusual dedicatoria en el Salón del Cómic de Barcelona. Era la época en que él dibujaba “La Casta de los Metabarones” y todo el mundo en la larga cola de las dedicatorias llevaba el primer ejemplar de la saga. Yo era muy joven, nunca había estado en un Salón del Cómic y encima me presenté con un cómic suyo mucho más antiguo, Juego Eterno, recomendado por un amigo.

Al verlo, Juan Giménez levantó la ceja y sonriendo hizo una dedicatoria totalmente distinta a las que estaba dibujando esa tarde. Es uno de esos momentos mágicos que hace que merezca la pena asistir a este tipo de encuentros. Aunque me gusta mucho casi todo lo que ha dibujado Giménez posteriormente, 20 años después sigo pensando que Juego Eterno es una de sus mejores obras y un cómic de presencia obligatoria en la biblioteca de cualquier buen aficionado.
