Description

i was at fan expo in 2010.
it was sunday afternoon last day.
i was waiting for my friend who was in the bathroom.
i was standing in artist alley about 10 feet away from
steve mcniven he was with his wife and daughter.i was watching as he was drawing on the table cloth with his daughter.soon someone showed up to drive then to the airport as they got up to leave steve quickly signed the spot.soon afterwards a woman and man showed up
they were staring at the drawing and taking pictures.
finally my friend showed up(about time!!)we checked out the drawing i took a picture and as we left i told the people
there to just rip it off and take it.so me and my friend leave to get a few things before i have to catch my plane.on the way out i tell my buddy if the drawing is still there i'm taking it. as we pass buy the mcniven drawing i see that the woman and man are still sitting there they didn't grab it yet! so i walk up and say"are you taking this?" the woman says"we'd like too" then i said"well too bad i am!!"(i should mention that i am 6'3 200 lbs the man and woman combined might have matched my weight)so i proceeded to rip the table cloth around the drawing and walk out with my friend.
the best score i got all weekend from fanexpo.
wolverines head is 12" from chin to top hair

Well know know the saying, "If you're slow, you blow." And that couple definitely blew it. But you didn't. GREAT move on your part taking this gem. Steve is an amazing artist, one of comics' best!
