DescriptionI've long wanted a Larry Stroman commission piece with Havok and Polaris but this striking page with Alex featured so prominently will hold me for a while. After marrying into the Shi'ar ruling family, Vulcan kills the reigning emperor D’Ken and his father Corsair and defeats the X-Men. This page shows the climactic moment where the Starjammers and others battle Vulcan in front of the M'Kraan crystal. Afterwards, Professor X was flung into the crystal and emerges with his telepathic powers restored.The divergence begins at the bottom of the page where Darwin avoids a stray laser blast. This enables him to save Professor X and it is Vulcan who gets thrown into the crystal instead. (Bought from the artist, 2011/03) Social/Sharing |

Havok has always been a visually strong character to draw and this page is a great example of his appeal
