Description

Marshall Rogers and I became good friends when he became the hottest comic book artist on the set for a while with his phenomenal Batman series with writer Steve Engelhart and inker Terry Austin (both also long time friends). Marshall drew this following an autograph party we had for him in my Pier 39 comic book store in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf summer of 1979. I miss my friend.

Marshall Rogers passing away was a great loss for his many many fans and friends. His sparkling wit was always a joy.

Very cool and thanks for sharing! Marshall's Batman run in Detective during the 70s was really awesome!

I didn't realize Marshall had conceptualized the 'Foozle' as early as 1979. Wow!

Marshall was saying at the time this was a new character he was fleshing out for Eclipse. He and Steve Engelhart were riding high off their Batman success.

I loved the Foozle! What a great talent Marshall Rogers was... he left us too soon.
