Al Posen - 1930s Cartoon

Al Posen (1895-1965) was most well known for a couple of things. First, was his sweet comic strip Sweeney & Son, which ran as a Sunday page for 25 years. Second, was Posen's hotel room number, which happened to be 1506. That was the basis for Bill Holman's catch phrase, "1506 Nix Nix", which was a warning to the girls to stay away from Posen's room.

This wonderfully stylized cartoon appears to be from the 1930s, and has a definite New Yorker feel to it. It has Posen's name and return address on the back--the NY Daily News--so it's possible that it ran in that newspaper.
