I consider myself very lucky that I stumbled across Anthony Synder's site just as these pages were going live for sale. The Mighty Crusaders comic that Rich Buckler did for Archie in the early 80's were some of the very first comics that I ever bought. If you've never read them think Rich Buckler trying to do a version of Roy Thomas's All-Star Squadron. There are some pages, some panels, that to this day I remember. Not in the sense of generally remembering something but I can clearly remember the image(s) from when I was 13(?).

This is one of those pages. The top and bottom panels are something that I may never forget, I don't know if I really knew that the "bad" guys here were really based on some good guys. I just have a half memory of loving a book that was chock full of new characters. Plus, how can you not love a group called "The Malevolent Legion of Juggernauts"? : ) And yes, this whole page is a stat. But it's a great stat of a great page and it's sign by Rich himself!
