Sandman: Dream Hunters cover recreation

The original art for P. Craig Russell's oversized, full-color re-creation of his variant cover to SANDMAN: THE DREAM HUNTERS #1. This is not Craig's original cover art for that issue, but rather a much larger, full-color reimagining that he created in August, 2010. It features many improvements on his original piece thanks to a larger original art size (14" by 21") that allows for more detail. Check out the faces in the cape area alone—simply beautiful. Superbly colored by the artist directly on the board, the piece was created with pencil, black ink, various color inks, watercolors and tempera paint.
