Description
I have no idea where this is from, but I love it anyway. A major pick up for me as I loved his work on this title. As far as I can tell, it wasn't in any of the Spirit issues Darwyn did, nor can I find it in any of the books/mags that do a retrospective of his career. If anyone knows where this pin-up is from please share. 11.5"x17"

Great Spirit! I've never seen it published anywhere. Not in RETROACTIVE and not in the comic or collections.

Thanks for your comment. I've also checked my copies of Retroactive, Comic Book Artist #3, Comics Journal #285 and Comic Book Artist #6 (Will Eisner/Spirit Tribute) and cannot find it anywhere! Perhaps it was a promo piece or unused pin up/poster concept. Maybe it'll be in the upcoming Modern Masters volume w/Cooke by Twomorrows publishing?

Yeah maybe for the TwoMorrows Modern Masters (only about a year late) but somehow I doubt it. The guy on the left getting it is so good. Reminds me of Steranko a bit. ( ! )
