This is the original final penciled artwork for Defenders Vol. 2 #9 drawn by Ron Frenz. The published cover was inked separately by Erik Larsen on a different board, leaving the original pencils untouched. in 2004 I asked comics legend Joe Rubinstein if he would ink the original penciled artwork for me. You can compare it to the published cover below.
