Conan the Cimmerian #23 pg2-3 - Giorello

Pages 2-3 from issue 23 of Dark Horse's "Conan the Cimmerian" (Vol 1, 2010) with pencils by Tomas Giorello on the back of 11.75" x 17.5" Dark Horse Comics Art Board.

I was really thrilled to be able to get this piece. One, it's from a great REH story, "Iron Shadows in the Moon," two, great take on the evil Iron Creatures (Howard would be proud), and three, there's just so much incredible detail here (from columns to the leaves to the "statues") you can gaze at the art forever and still notice new things each time you look. Obviously, my photo does nothing to capture this, mainly because only Tom's original art can capture the true beauty of this piece: It's even better than what's published in the comic. Great piece from a great artist and person.
