DescriptionSo I'd seen this up for sale and thought it was rather cool. Like a lot of art I see online, it stuck in my head and invaded my brain for a couple of days...Later that week my wife and I were at the post office so I could send out a page I'd sold on ebay when she got a call from one of our boys and had to run back home while I was inside. Rather than wait at the post office once I was done, I decided to walk over to the local Family Dollar next door and look around when out of the corner of my eye I saw a children's book with this piece on the cover! Was it fate?!?!? I don't know, but I took it as a sign and I'm glad to have this in my humble collection! JGL is a master whose style and composition is just so classic and epitomizes the super hero. Throw in inks laid down by the immensely talented Mr. Sook and this is some true Batman-goodness! Love the cape, all the pouches on the utility belt and the tension of the batarang about to be thrown! Social/Sharing |

Good call picking this one up! Sounds like it was meant to be. Love the pose and depth with that hand coming right off the page.

Eery, your experience with the coloring book. But I have so been there and always follow the 'fates' by moving forward when it feels right. Great Sook piece!
