Description
One of my earliest grail acquisitions.

Remember the book well from my childhood. I first acquired it a year or 2 after it was published from a "friend" who charged me 25 cents more than the cover price. Anyhow in the unlikely event he ever happens to ever read this, I offer heartfelt my thanks to Paul N my old grade school buddy as he introduced me to one of my favorite comic boot heroes.

This scan used on page 72 of Back Issue 25 (2007) and on page 91 of "Don Heck: A Work Of Art" (2014) both from TwoMorrows Publishing

Fun Fact: In the premiere issue Steel appeared in costume on only 8 pages + the cover.

Wanted Cover and ANY Interior Page to Steel, The Indestructible Man 1 and unpublished #6 - including the non-costume pages.

Classic Bronze Age splash! Don Heck was a great artist! That stupid a--hole, Harlan Ellison, maligned Don Heck so much in that Comic Journal article! Don was one of the legends in the hobby!
