What's funny now is that I bought this off eBay in 2007 and was the only bidder, probably because this was seen as a "boring" overpriced epilogue page that came at the end of a great....

Somehow I missed this great cover when you originally posted... In a total tie my 2 favorite Kubert All-Star Covers are this one (#7) and #13.

I also recall when DC raised their cover price from .50 to .60 it too was a huge deal-breaker for me. IIRC Marvel remained at .50 for nearly 10 more months. During that time frame I had to scale back my DC purchases from about 10 to only 4 per month. I kept only All-Star, Captain Carrot,New Teen Titans and Legion.

Last 4 splashes featured FF, Devil Dinosaur, SHIELD and the Avengers. Although on #24 the Marvel Universe Guests were almost too small to discern.

I relayed the story to her right after aquiring the pages. Sadly she was too young back then and has zero memory of the day.  

Was going to have the page w/Wendy The Good Witch & Casper framed for her, but she had no interest in it hanging in her home.

Still none of that changes the memories of that day for me.

Rich for reference, it was the Coffee Shop/Newsstand across from what was then "Tom's Sunoco". I can still recall the smell of Coffee intermingled with Bacon and mixed with Newsprint - ain't nothing like it :)

Interesting another Avengers 170's issue and page where the word balloon stats have yellowed or browned.  Must be the paper the letterer used.   My first Avengers page (issue 177 - still have it) has the same exact look on the word balloons, so it really brings back great nostalgia - love them!

I recall this page well right from my very first read as a kid - specifically for the 3rd panel. Was lucky recently to acquire another page of yours from this Excellent issue!
