Jerry Butler Shield, Captain America Cover Reimagination

I am a big fan of star spangled heroes. Loved the MLJ/Mighty attempt in the sixites, the stories and art were so-so but the idea of this whole line of comics characters intrigued me.
So I saw Jerry do this great recreation to the cover of the orginal Green Langern and thought I would have him do a reimagination of the classic Captain America 1 cover, only this time it would feature the Shield and Dusty. Jerry decided to add Cap as the victim and replaced the bad guy with the Red Skull. Then he drew it in the style of the time.
It's an interesting work.
