Exceptionnelle planche de grand format où Pirlouit, venant de faire connaissance avec Johan, envisage avec enthousiasme son futur métier de fou du roi. On y découvre pour la première fois ses talents de chanteur et son goût très marqué pour la musique. C’est avec ce passage que s’opère l’un des tournants majeurs de cette série, l’humour s’impose ici grâce à Pirlouit et prendra petit à petit une place de plus en plus importante au fur et à
mesure des albums. Pirlouit deviendra lui aussi progressivement le véritable personnage principal de cette série. Ce duo formé par Johan et Pirlouit s’impose à nous comme l’un des plus aboutis et marquants du 9ème Art.

This is an exceptional large format strip where Peewit, having just met Johan, enthusiastically plans his future profession as a court jester. We are introduced for the first time to his talents in singing and apparent taste for music. This strip marks one of the major watersheds in the history of this series, with humour taking on such an important role thanks to Peewit, before going on to take an ever increasing role in future albums. Peewit would also become a fully-fledged character in the series. The duo
formed by Johan and Peewit would turn out to be one of the most successful and recognised in the history of comic art.
