DescriptionI love Cooke's sequences from the series where the Martian Manhunter learns about human culture via 1950s television. This is the back cover for issue 3 (a series that had some great splashes as back covers), with the pile of drinks and junk food added later in photoshop (along with the change from TV Guide to TV Today). Just a great piece - I love Cooke's depiction of the character.Social/Sharing |

I had no idea this was in your collection. Such a cool piece. Love the vintage clothing. That’s probably the best backside of a television I’ve ever seen drawn. Leave it to Darwyn!

What a cool back cover for New Frontier! The Martian Manhunter settles down to life in the US in the 1950s, courtesy of Darwyn Cooke. Love the period clothing on J'onn J'onzz and especially, the period TV. Check out those rabbit ears!
