Norem literally threw everything but (whatever is the sword-and-sorcery equivalent of) the kitchen sink into this painting. It is way over-the-top, garish in extreme and the design is just all over the place – Conan on top of just about every type of stock sword and sorcery character you can think of (dead ones, undead ones, green ones!) a buxom beauty on (actually I'm not quite sure what she's lying on) and an evil sorcerer in a star-spangled cape casting a spell in the background that Conan can't even begin to worry about! And it is pure magic. Here's my dollar! Little-6th-grade-me is all in! And you know what, middle-age-me is too
