DescriptionFirst of all, in my opinion, this piece should have been a cover for the “Batman : The Dark Knight” story created and written by David Finch. (Jason have penciled issue #4 and #5).This Batman is penciled by Jason Fabok and inked by Ryan Winn (who is the new inker of Tony Daniel on the latest Detective Comics serie). It was used by Jason and Ryan for promotion... For me, it’s a perfect artwork : a really strong piece with amazing details. A special thanks to Jason for parting with it. He was so easy and cool to deal with him. He is simply the nicest artist I have ever talk to, and so so so talented ! I think we will have to count with him in the future, for me he is the future of DC ! What other description do I need for this ? I’m going to let this one speaks for itself... one last thing : I think it’s one of the best Batman images I have seen this year ;) ! Social/Sharing |

I love the fact that there is a "face" there. The scowl is simply incredible. The tight pencils and fine inking don't hurt at all either. I, too, like this BATMAN better than Finch's (despite the fact that similarites in style exist twixt the two) and the realistic look of the character trumps Jim Lee's superheoric take on the character. I'm interested in seeing my favorite Dark Knight interpreted in a matter that is further removed from the Jim Lee BATMAN that has become the "standard" All in all, AWESOME IMAGE and would I would ogle at everyday if I were so lucky to have it hanging in my humble abode.
