Wonder Woman v3 36 pg 15

This is the end of what turned out to be the very last doomed relationship for the Perez incarnation of Wonder Woman. He loves her but he just can’t cope with it all, she loves him but can’t quite express it in the right way. Tragic. He kisses her one last time and gives back the spear that symbolized his bond with her and her people and that was that. More fool Tom for not swallowing his pride, really. Most would say she was worth it.
I always found the short series of pages that end in this one very poignant.
