The original Sgt Rock comic cover from 1969 caught my eye for many reasons. The black borders were unusual for the time and the perspective and angles as Easy Co. fend off enemy aircraft on the edge of a crumbling cliff ledge were visually stunning
In my mind, the Easy Co's . Legion 31st Century equivalent is The Legion of Superheroes' Espionage Squad. The Legion Espionage Squad was originally formed by Chameleon Boy and Invisible Kid (Lyle Norg) as a secret resistance group who undertook missions the Legion of Super-Heroes were not authorized to be involved in. In essence, it is sub-team within the Legion.
Chameleon Boy continues to be the leader of the group, and he recruits other Legionnaires depending on the needs of the mission.
It gave the heroes with more diverse powers a chance to shine and show that teamwork is a powerful tool .
