I've always been a fan of Philip's watercolor commissions, and when I knew I would only be able to make it to NYCC 2011 on Sunday due to my work schedule I knew I should set this up before the show started. I didn't give him any direction for this piece, I just asked him for Dark Phoenix, and he painted exactly what I was hoping for with a fiery Phoenix Force background. I knew his take on this character would be amazing, but I was speechless when I saw this in person. Special thanks to Kirk for setting this up.

IMO..I think this is Phillip's best watercolor piece so far..this is Incredible,and it looks even better in person..Big Congrat's Matt !!!
