This is one of my favorite issues of the X-Men. It is so different from most other issues, but I love the central conflict of it that brings the characters together. We get to know the characters and how Joe Kelly, the new writer at the time, wanted to begin developing them.
This page is great for featuring Jean in power mode working to save Scott as well as Cannonball serving the same purpose his own way. Plus, Dr. Cecilia Reyes works to rally the troops to her cause to save Scott.
There is love here, desperation here, and some humor here. Great page. Thank you for sharing.
