Matt Wagner - Grendel (Christine Spar)

This was only the second commission I ever got but it was the first I ever received at SDCC. The year was 2007 when Mr. Wagner's book Grendel Archives was first published.

When he presented this commission to me my jaw hit the floor. After seeing the expression on my face he said "That's the reaction I was hoping for." Before he handed it to me he showed it to his then tween daughter and said to her "Look. Boobies!". I fell out laughing.
