Description(SPOILER WARNING) Grunge admits to Tommy, while the two are playing video games, that his relationship with Roxy (who is asleep in midair) ultimately won’t work because he’s not good enough for her. Grunge confesses this while he believes Roxy is asleep, but she is half-awake and overhears Grunge's honest self-evaluation. his admission endears him to Roxy even more, as evidenced by a cute little heart in the fourth panel, which appears on the published page but not here. the words and the heart were all digital and don’t appear on the printed page. Of course, the nudity (see top panel) that’s on the art boards in this issue, by and large, didn’t appear in print. but I bought this page directly from inker Jason Martin because of the emotional impact it had on me. Considering that this entire issue is a figment of the very last seconds Caitlin’s imagination before the team dies in an explosion, it was a very touching moment crafted by writer Adam Warren.Social/Sharing |
